Sizzle Grill Logo Animation
In this project I was tasked with creating logos for a variety of companies that specialized in different things. This included building their brand, logo, and finally animating their logo in a quick and captivating motion graphic to showcase their brand.
The last logo was for a restaurant called Sizzle Grill, which specializes in a variety of different steaks and meats.

As with other grill restaurants, they all tend to have a wood theming and they usually try to call attention to the smoke that comes from how they prepare their food. I went into designing the logo and animation with this in mind, it’s crucial for these restaurants to have an inviting nature which needs to be exemplified through this animation. Their logo can be more expressive because of this, it featured a unique font enclosed in a circle.
While basic, the animation sheds more light as to how we get to that point of the logo. It starts with a 3D frying pan sizzling as it appears to be cooking something, when suddenly a wave of fire rises from it. Then the name is engraved into the screen from a bright light as the circle encloses it, bringing us to the final logo. Initially the frying pan and smoke were both 2D objects but after feedback were changed to 3D effects to better capture the look that was needed. Overall it was a more playful logo animation but it was essential to capturing the warm welcoming feeling that Sizzle Grill strives to achieve.
